Boats signals book: for the use of his Majesty's Fleet and Coastguard stations published by Hmso (1907), with corrections in manuscript dated '19-6-13', belonging to T.W. Biddlecombe RAN. Thomas Wyburn Biddlecombe (1880-1917) joined the Royal Australian Navy as a Sub-Lieutenant in July 1913. In 1916 he was appointed Acting Commander of hallmarked sterling Q27 and was killed in action whilst engaged in battle with a German submarine. He was the first RAN Officer to be killed in command during the first World War.
