Large Cantonese Qing Dynasty famille rose bowl, of handsome deep form, decorated with central roundel of court figures, surrounded by panels of figures alternating with floral panels and precious objects, in rich tones of pink, green, blue and gilt, on a circular foot, height 16 cm and diameter 35.5 cm. Provenance: The collection of Mr Arthur Dolby Pedley (1856-1935), then by descent.
