A highly important first period early colonial cedar demi lune, string inlaid fold over side table, Australian, Sydney, primary timber tested as red cedar, secondary timber (back rail) tested as eucalypt, scientific wood test document supplied. Concave scratch moulded edge, cedar veneer on cedar apron frieze detailed to the edge with a lighter timber. This detail continues through the squared and tapered legs which terminate at the base with a spade shape, in original untouched condition, excellent patination. Diameter 95 cm, 71 cm high.
