A most important and very rare first period cedar and New South Wales rose mahogany (dysoxylon fraserianum) sofa table Australian, Sydney, veneered to the top with rose mahogany on cedar and to the drawer fronts and in the solid to the splayed Regency legs, burr cedar to the stepped pedestal and the quadreform platform base, all other secondary wood cedar, stringing detail in ebony, original slip on brass castors. Only four other known examples of Australian sofa tables of this pure Regency form extant, 159 cm wide extended, 102 cm closed, 71 cm high, 65 cm deep.
