A fine and rare double ended sofa 220 x 90 x 77 cm In blackwood, Tasmanian, horizontal back with carving to each end, swan necked arms with scroll carving raised on inverse tulip short turned feet. Good estate condition 220 cm long, 77 cm deep, 90 cm high. Provenance: 'Bona Vista', Tasmania. Purchased in a 1921 clearance: sale at Bona Vista by Vernon Ransom for 17 shillings. It passed to Miss Ransom of Campbelltown and then to the present owner.
