A rare stoneware pudding bowl, transfer decorated in puce with the Royal coat-of-arms over 'Buchanans ACC UNXLD [unexcelled'] Christmas Plum Pudding, Auckland', marked for The Burslem Pottery Co. (1894-c.1925, Stoke-on-Trent). Oven crack and stain, diameter 17 cm. Buchanan's were tea, coffee and spice Merchants, in Custom Street, Auckland.
