A Jane Brenkley Maori decorated box, the lid with stylised figure in relief upon a koru and notch carved ground, stylised taniwha figures to the front and rear on carved ground, two bar form feet to the base, the interior lid carved and painted with lake scene including figure in waka, signed and dated 1944, some paua inserts remain. 28 cm x 15.5 cm x 11 cm. Some borer to lid.
