Original sliding clothes trays, brass astragal cover strip, the chest base of five drawers cockbeaded in Nsw Rose Mahogany (dysoxylon fraserianum) strung to the drawer fronts in pine raised on a scalloped base with out-swept French feet and cross-banded in ribbon cedar. The use of pure ebony in Australian furniture is rare. One other known press on chest of this out-swept bracket feet form (Ferry/sovereign Hill collection). 128 cm wide, 59 cm deep, 236 cm high.
