A good Japanese Meiji black lacquered and hardstone set six panel screen, the courtyard fenced scene with Imperial figure and various courtesans highlighted with coloured marbles and soft stones, mother-of-pearl and bone carved sections, the lower square panels with birds and blossoms, the feet enhanced with cloisonne panels, the reverse painted with exotic birds amongst florals, ornate gilt enrichments to all. 245 x 183 cm.
