A large 19th century Japanese bronze and champleve enamel vase, ovoid form, the body and neck with encircling bands of enamel as repeating taotie masks and scrolls, lappet panels below, various colours on blue ground, captured ring handles issue from cast butterfly mounts, cast character marks to the base. Height 44.5 cm.
