Magnificent Victorian sterling silver standish, hallmarked London, 1848, Edward, John & William Barnard, of rectangular form with twin shell handles and cast acanthus, c-scroll and floral rim, engraved with central crest and 'Aufrichtigkeit' meaning sincerity, with central lidded casket set with small sconce, flanked by two heavy crystal inkwells with hallmarked sterling silver covers, the whole raised on four scroll feet, weight 1787gm (without crystal inkwells)
