Curtly Ambrose's West Indies Test Team Cap, maroon wool with the West Indies logo embroidered to front. Cap by Bill Edwards of Swansea with Ambrose's name in pen on the label (partly overwritten). Attractively framed. [Ambrose played in 98 Tests for the West Indies, taking 405 wickets at an average of 20.99]. Provenance: Originally purchased at a Knight's Sporting Memorabilia Auction, with the note which accompanied the cap when offered as Lot 919 in June 2005 as part of the M.L. Evans Cap Collection. Nb: Clive Lloyd's West Indies Test Team Cap was sold by Leski Auctions in 2008 for $10,925 (incl. Bp).
