St. Kilda finished the Home-and-Away Season in Third position on the ladder, with 14 wins, and 8 losses. They were eliminated from the finals in the Preliminary Final against Carlton, which went on to win the Grand Final against Collingwood in front of a crowd exceeding 121,000.
