An impressive Trobriand Islands feast dish, Papua New Guinea, carved from dense, heavy wood, hollowed-out deeply. Of elliptical form raised on a small base, ornamented with incised undulating geometric designs on the rim. Beautiful grain with the natural veins visible in the bowl that ripples slightly, deep chocolate patina.
