An 1881 O Class tender locomotive, road number '54' (220 x 40 x 55 mm) built by Baldwin locomotive works (Philadelphia), deep blue & brown livery with gold plated trim, 2-8-0 wheel configuration, entered service in 1881, scrapped in 1904. (When introduced the 'O' Class were the largest locomotives in service on South Australia Railways and were initially used for goods services on the Adelaide hills line, however they did not perform well and were later transferred to work the north line).
