Two Japanese Hirado dishes, Meiji period (1868-1912), both dishes of fine porcelain decorated in underglaze blue, one with a chidori (plover) flying before the crescent moon, with three stylised cloud motifs to the reverse, the other dish in Nabeshima style, with relief moulded decoration of mount Fuji with a sky blue background, with pine and waves below, the reverse with two stylised scrolling peonies, and comb design surrounding the foot.
