A Baynes regulator longcase clock, the silvered dial with an Arabic numeral minute ring enclosing subsidiary seconds and Roman numeral hour chapter rings, with a deadbeat escapement, maintaining power and beat adjustment to the crutch, mercury compensating pendulum and a single brass weight, above a scroll carved grape and vine crest, housed within a domed rectangular mahogany case with glaze access doors to the top and glaze panels to the sides and front of the trunk, above a plinth base, the dial signed 'Baynes, London'.
