(Tissot, James) Goncourt, Edmond & Jules de, Renee Mauperin, [Paris: Charpentier et cie, 1884], large octavo, half-crushed morocco over marbled boards, spine in compartments with raised band, lettered in gilt, housed in a chemise suede wrapper and calf edged slipcase, top edge gilt, pp. 380, illustrated with ten original etched plates, by Tissot signed with the artist's red monogram stamp, limited to 550 copies composed of four editions, this being from, the rarest edition of 20 copies, being copy No.16, printed on Imperial, Japon paper, but lacking the additional set of proof plates.
