A c.1900/early 20th century Maori carved kotiate, the blades with restrained lineal scroll and notch carved detail, one bottom lobe absent, presumably an original carving accident as original patina is intact, carved stylised head to the butt with power inset eyes, the grip with counter- sunk original lashing hole, length 37.5 cm.
