An 19th century bronze study of a classical Greek soldier, modelled semi-naked with grape leaf and drapery, seated upon a rocky outcrop, shield to his side, his foot upon his helmet with a winged cherub nearby. Original bronze patina, height 54 cm, on mottled red/brown marble base. Note: Sword absent.
