Description:
A Chinese Qing Dynasty silk shawl with embroidery dragon pattern, the shawl is also known as a fan-shoulder. It was an accessory to the formal dress of literary and military officials, noblewomen, emperors and empresses. It was tied around the neck to cover the shoulder, shaped like a water chestnut, embroidered with crepe pattern. It is the customization of the Qing Dynasty. There are two different varieties of the shawl, regarding seasons. In wintertime, the shawl made with sable fur while in the summertime it was made by silk embroidery with gold trim, this shawl should be used by the Prince in wintertime, made of gold thread silk, decorated with Xiangyun (propitious cloud) and two flaming-pearl-chasing dragons. The craftsmanship is exquisite, the appearance is excellent, and it has a high collection value, height 30 cm, width 67 cm
