A Japanese Kyoyaki Dohachi monochrome studio vase, Meiji period (1868-1912), circa 1880s, the tall ovoid vase covered in a monochromatic deep blue glaze, the interior with a clear glaze, the mouth rim dressed with a brown enamel. Six-character mark 'Kachutei Dohachi Zo' within a double rectangular in underglaze blue to the base within the foot rim. Together with a custom wooden box. 26 cm high, 10 cm diameter,
