A Japanese Kyoyaki Tozan studio box, Miyanaga Tozan II, Showa period (1926-1989), circa 1960s, the cylindrical box with a gently domed lid with relief carved decoration of a crane and deer with stylised Kanji characters, with a lengthy hand-carved inscription to the base of the box, together with a two-character 'Tozan' mark within a square. The whole covered in an even pale green celadon glaze. Together with tomobako (original box) and original signed cloth wrapping. 6.5 cm high, 11 cm diameter,
