A rare James II longcase clock, the case in fine walnut veneers and elaborate coloured marquetry depicting flowers, foliage, birds and winged female mythological figures. The inked steel and gilded brass face inscribed 'Joseph Saer, Porpoole Lane, London'. One month mechanism when wound. English circa 1690. 249.5 x 52.5 x 25 cm.
