An Anglo-Ceylonese calamander and specimen wood travelling box, of rectangular form, the sides gently carved in a linenfold pattern. The interior fitted with a mechanical cabinet and two tiers of tray compartments. The drawers and the lids in different exotic timbers and ivory with borders of ebony and ivory and gilt metal in various patterns. The underside of the lid inlaid with a whorl design.
