Gilt, presented in original fitted case, detailed by makers Marshall & Sons 87 George Street Edinburgh, engraved to reverse with date 1869, presented as a large round panel brooch, featuring a central polished cabochon cut sardonyx stone, black to body with an outer white rail, stepping down to a rope twist frame and surround of black enamel, detailed by inset applied pearls, to reverse glass panel, pin and safety chain.
