A pair of large elephants carved with boys atop and painted in cinnabar lacquer, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, modelled in great detail, one elephant turning it's head to the right the other to the left and the boys also looking back, with stylized folds around the legs and trunk, minor chips to the lacquer.
