William Yang (Australian, b.1943) Patrick White #1 Living Room, Martin Rd., '88 silver gelatin photograph, signed, stamped with artist's chop, editioned 1/10, dated and captioned in ink on image lower left and right. 45 x 37 cm. 'His black chair was placed in front of the Victor Rubin painting and here he would sit. Because of his osteoporosis his movement was limited. He had a mechanical device, something like a stick with a pair of tongs at the end, and with this he could pick up things from the surrounding tables'
