Hetzel et Cie; n.d. but 1890); large octavo, 3 volumes in one, original publisher's pictorial blue and red cloth gilt, spine with gilt lettering and decoration, all edges gilt, engraved frontispiece, 624pp, 170+ illustrations. Verne's adventure story originally published in 1868, the second volume of which is set mainly in Australia and the third in New Zealand, where encounters with the maori play a central role in the narrative.
