An Orientalist Art Deco cold painted bronze figure of an Arab water seller by Bruno Zach (1891 - 1935), signed Zach and with makers marks Argentor-Werke of Vienna to the base, the kneeling seller with jar presents a drinking cup. The figurine is screwed on flat bronze base, height 13.5 cm. Note: Zach emigrated to Austria, studied at the Vienna Academy becoming a renowned sculptor of Orientalist subjects and works often incorporating the seedy side of nightlife in Berlin, notably tall, athletic, dominating women.
