A George III period 18ct gold pair cased pocket watch, by George Yonge (1776-1832), both cases matching hallmarks for London 1808, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subs-seconds (hand absent), gold hands, gilded fusee movement with removable gilt brass dust cap. Both movement and dust cap signed George Yonge, Strand, London and numbered 6408. Yonge was Clockmaker to the Admiralty 1820-28, diameter 5.2 cm.
