Spanish guitar, circa 1860, the headstock, fingerboard and neck veneered in ivory, with repeated bands of marquetry in mother-of-pearl following the edges, around the sound hole, and framing the fingerboard. The bridge inlaid with abalone shell as well as four frets to the base of the fingerboard, the sides and back of sound box veneered in burr walnut, to verso a marquetry and painted image of a courting scene with a guitar, remnants of paper label to the interior, 94.5 cm long
