A pair of Indian paintings of Krishna, probably Kangra school, circa 19th century, gouache and gold on paper with a scarlet red outer border and scrolling flowers on a black ground as the inner border, each depicting scenes of Krishna sporting with Radha within a forest setting, one of Krishna and Radha riding on a swing together, being pushed by an attendant, the other of the two lovers sharing a sweet embrace., each image 19.5 cm by 25.5 cm. Provenance: Purchased in new Delhi, 1960s.
