A rare Chinese Jiangxi Ciye Gongsi carved 'Su Sancai' style plaque, Republic period (1912-1949), the rectangular porcelain plaque with relief applique and carved decoration of a bird resting on a branch, with chrysanthemum and bamboo foliage and flowers to the side, the relief carving covered with enamel decoration, the ground enamelled black. Unglazed reverse., 18.5 cm high, 24 cm wide. Provenance: Purchased in new Hampshire, United States, late 1990s.
