A Chinese Yixing Zisha Gongju teapot, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 18th/19th century, the compressed globular teapot with straight spout and high foot, burnished to a high gloss in Bangkok, with upright cast bronze handle, and bronze fittings to the mouth rim, lid rim and tip of the spout. With a two character impressed mark 'Gongju' at the base., 15 cm high, 18.5 cm wide, other notes: These highly polished Yixing teapots were made for the Thai market, and polished in Bangkok, in accordance with the preference of the local market.
