A 19th century Fijian Ula, a throwing club, made of a single piece of wood used as a close-range projectile weapon. Long cylindrical shaft ends with a handle, elaborately carved with zigzag design acting as a firm grip for the club bearer and embellishment signaling the status and prowess of the owner.
