Book, 'The Dunera Affair: a Documentary Resource book, edited by Paul R Bartrop with Gabrielle Eisen. Including. Letters from Walter (Heinz Edgar) Kantorowicz a German Jewish refugee sent from Britain to Australia as an internee on the Hmt Dunera arriving at Darling harbour, Sydney on 6th September, 1940. Four Prisoner of war folding letterettes & two envelopes without letters. One of the letterettes is written in German & the other three in English. One of the letterettes in English begins 'Dear sisters, although Mr Churchill & Mr Morrison have repeatedly declared that regrettable mistakes.' all are addressed to either Gerda or Gerda & Alice Krohn, Waverley, Sydney, 1940 & 1941 & have the appropriate Prisoner of war & censor marks & date stamps from Hay & camp 7 (orange).
