This book contains letters from Arthur Phillip, Governor of New South Wales, to Lord Sydney, which were presented to the house of Commons March 2, 1791. In three public papers Phillip reports on the situation at Sydney cove & details his reasons for why Botany bay, Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island would not be suitable sites for making a Settlement. (public papers p.117.) the content is clear and complete with the gold lettering on the spine intact and the boards are bumped and frayed at the edges.
