Fine George III sterling silver twin handled basket, hallmarked, London, 1804, Digby Scott and Benjamin Smith, of oval form, with lobed body, accented with border of acanthus leaves, flanked by beautiful acanthus handles and raised on four feet, total weight 556gm, length 29 cm. Note: Digby Scott and Benjamin Smith were described in Jacksons Hallmarks as 'Highly Important' makers, working almost exclusively at the time for the leading firm Rundell, bridge and Rundell, Goldsmiths and Jewellers to King George III
