Rolex GMT-Master II Ref 16710 a stainless steel automatic dual time wristwatch with date and bracelet, circa 2000, dial: black. Calibre: cal. 3185 automatic movement, 31 jewels. Movement number: 38537739. Case: stainless steel, screw-down back. Case number: P176973. Closure: stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet with integrated folding clasp, reference 78790A. Dimensions: 40 mm diameter, bracelet circumference approximately 173 mm. Signed: case, dial and movement. Accessories: Rolex guarantee dated 23 October 2000, Rolex user's manual, booklet, bi-fold wallet, card holder, presentation box with outer packaging the Rolex GMT master was originally introduced in 1954. Two time zones could now be read at the same time, which proved invaluable for pilots. In 1988 Rolex then released the GMT-Master II, which increased the functionality by giving its wearer the option of adjusting the watch to read up to three different time zones at one glance. This particular reference was introduced in 1989 and stayed in production until 2007. The present reference 16710 with a 'coke' red and black bezel is in excellent overall condition, still retaining its original green Rolex sticker on the case back.
