A carved soapstone figure group Qing Dynasty, 19th century, of Guanyin seated on a separate base of variegated red soapstone, holding a scroll in her left hand and a rosary in the right, wearing loosely draped wide sleeved robes, the incised borders and a two-character mark on the reverse picked out in gilding, a small boy attendant standing to one side with hands held together, the base carved to simulate rockwork highlighted in gilding around a quatrefoil platform, box, Guanyin 8 cm high, the stand 11.5 cm long
