A grisaille and sepia decorated vase, Republic period, of tapering shouldered form, painted with a family group, the old man and one small boy riding on a buffalo drawn by another boy walking in front, a young maiden carrying a child watching another boy seated with a basket of finger citron, the reverse with a long poetic inscription in black with several red seals, the base inscribed in blue enamel with an apocryphal four-character mark of Qianlong, box, 36 cm high.
