A quality Chinese 18th/19th century Chinese export famille rose bowl, finely decorated with multiple female dominant figures with courtyard settings, spaced by lidded urn panels all on a red ground with fine geometric gilded decoration, restrained floralds to the interior. Diameter 28.7 cm. Professional restoration. Provenance: From the estate of a prominent Manawatu family with New Zealand parliamentary and union heritage linking back to the late 19th and early 20th century, items from this family were deposited with the Dominion Museum, c.1920
