A late 19th century maharani's attendant's silver turquoise and enamelled chatelaine, the decoratively coloured enamelled clip and pierced scrolling mount supporting three chain lengths highlighted with turquoise cabochons, each chain terminating in a clip, length 15.8 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a prominent Manawatu family with New Zealand parliamentary and union heritage linking back to the late 19th and early 20th century, items from this family were deposited with the Dominion Museum, c.1920
