A 19th century Indian silver pearl and garnet Maharani's pendant necklace, the radiating domed circular design highlighted with faceted and cabochon garnets and pearls, all in rub-over mounts on a decorative enamelled ground, three pendant drops, the back highlighted with coloured enamels, suspended on a fine silver link chain. Pendant diameter 4 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a prominent Manawatu family with New Zealand parliamentary and union heritage linking back to the late 19th and early 20th century, items from this family were deposited with the Dominion Museum, c.1920
