A fine celadon glazed vase inlaid with a leaping koi, impressed oval seal of Gyokudo, Kyoto, Japan, early Showa period, circa 1940, note: master potter, Tezuka Gyokudo [1896-1977] used coloured slip to create birds & fish on a plain ground, he established his kiln in 1916, fitted box. Provenance: acquired 40 years ago, from the Major Johnson collection. The vase had been in storage from the 1950s., height 18 cm
