Edwardian sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service, hallmarked, 1900, James Dixon & Sons, for Flavelle, Sydney, of tapered form with lobed frieze to base, comprising teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl,monogrammed 'Joa' for John Oscar Armstrong, the whole set within a leather case, total weight 1600gm catalogue note: John Armstrong was the chief metallurgist for the old 'Proprietary Mine' at Broken Hill in the late 1800s and later General Manager of the 'Great Cobar Mine' until 1908
