A rare Tibetan painted folding altar table (Tepchog), 19th century, the folding wooden table intricately painted with 'Shou' and 'Fu' characters to the top surface in polychrome mineral pigments, the apron under the pediment relief carved with shou characters, bats and auspicious offerings, and further decorated with mineral pigments, the front and side folding panels carved to simulate bamboo segments in a lattice-grid, the spaces within the lattice inset with transparent mica panes, 35 cm high, 68 cm wide, 33 cm deep
