Chinese Qing Dynasty red silk wedding collar, c.1875, each panel embroidered floral and individual motifs including dragons, phoenix, seated figure and figure in pagoda, in tones of blue, green, pink and black, with silver thread and black trim, mounted on board, 66.5 cm x 66 cm catalogue note: red was considered to be a very auspicious colour and this collar would have been worn for a special celebration.
