Danny Li Wan Fai, (b.1954) Hong Kong, on the Slips c.1984, oil on canvas, signed lower left, 92 x 61 cm. Exhibitions, the Royce gallery, Sydney, 1984, other notes, the artist was taught western painting in the late '60s from Chiang Wing-sin, an established oil painter from china, his continual experiments with techniques led him to develop his current individual style. In 1984, Li's debut solo exhibition in Royce gallery, Sydney, Australia brought him recognition, his work was selected for the XXI and the XXII Prix international D'Art Contemporain De Monte-Carlo in 1987 and 1988. He also participated in the contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial from 1985 to 1996.
